Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 4.21% or 22.1 points to trade at 547.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 2.02% or 530 points to end at 26730 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) was up 1.24% or 550 points to 44940 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 2.44% or 56 points to trade at 2238 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.41% or 236 points to end at 9554 and Harel (TA:HARL) was down 1.59% or 34 points to 2100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 255 to 139 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) rose to all time highs; up 1.24% or 550 to 44940.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.55% or 0.76 to $49.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.35% or 1.21 to hit $52.70 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.34 to trade at $1269.34 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.5604, while EUR/ILS rose 0.77% to 4.1832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 93.20.
