Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Insurance and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 4.17% or 223 points to trade at 5577 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.15% or 12 points to end at 1052 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 0.97% or 540 points to 56320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which fell 3.19% or 3400 points to trade at 103200 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 2.46% or 52 points to end at 2063 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 2.41% or 7.7 points to 311.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 213 to 168 and 42 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.82% or 0.44 to $54.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.79% or 0.49 to hit $62.47 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1316.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.6205, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.1194.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 95.993.
