Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Infrastructure and Miscellaneous Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT), which rose 33.77% or 26 points to trade at 103 at the close. Meanwhile, Dwi Aneka Jaya Kemasindo Tbk (JK:DAJK) added 24.14% or 28.00 points to end at 144.00 and Triwira Insanlestari Tbk (JK:TRIL) was up 23.53% or 12 points to 63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (JK:LPIN), which fell 10.00% or 550 points to trade at 4950 at the close. Plaza Indonesia Realty Tbk (JK:PLIN) declined 10.00% or 410 points to end at 3690 and Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS) was down 9.88% or 8 points to 73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 177 to 128 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Triwira Insanlestari Tbk (JK:TRIL) rose to 52-week highs; up 23.53% or 12 to 63.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.64% or 0.98 to $36.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.78% or 1.10 to hit $38.43 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.93% or 11.60 to trade at $1233.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 1.38% to 13210.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.38% to 9770.80.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.82.
