Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Basic Industry and Consumer Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO), which rose 30.19% or 32 points to trade at 138 at the close. Meanwhile, Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) added 24.40% or 510 points to end at 2600 and Sekar Laut Tbk (JK:SKLT) was up 24.30% or 130.00 points to 665.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA), which fell 24.81% or 66 points to trade at 200 at the close. Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) declined 22.86% or 96 points to end at 324 and Vale Indonesia Tbk (JK:INCO) was down 15.93% or 470 points to 2480.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 175 to 110 and 114 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sekar Laut Tbk (JK:SKLT) rose to 52-week highs; rising 24.30% or 130.00 to 665.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.85% or 0.45 to $52.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.79% or 0.44 to hit $55.57 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.05 to trade at $1196.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.64% to 13350.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.27% to 9957.25.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 101.19.
