Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.07%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction, Retail and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.07%, while the MDAX index lost 0.44%, and the TecDAX index lost 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe), which rose 2.64% or 0.79 points to trade at 30.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) added 1.84% or 6.00 points to end at 331.70 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was up 1.59% or 2.95 points to 188.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which fell 4.23% or 17.80 points to trade at 403.00 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) declined 2.24% or 0.96 points to end at 41.99 and Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) was down 1.61% or 3.10 points to 189.60.
The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which rose 3.66% to 38.26, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 2.40% to settle at 31.20 and Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which gained 1.24% to close at 45.84.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 3.94% to 48.49 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which lost 3.49% to settle at 16.60 and Software AG (ETR:SOWGn) which was down 3.40% to 26.14 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which rose 3.66% to 38.26, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 2.40% to settle at 31.20 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 1.16% to close at 26.15.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was down 4.23% to 403.00 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 3.94% to settle at 48.49 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 3.49% to 16.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 383 to 289 and 89 ended unchanged.
Shares in Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) rose to all time highs; rising 1.84% or 6.00 to 331.70. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) fell to all time lows; losing 3.49% or 0.60 to 16.60. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) fell to all time lows; falling 3.49% or 0.60 to 16.60.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.26% to 18.04.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.36% or 6.85 to $1,935.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.91% or 1.56 to hit $80.06 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.23% or 1.97 to trade at $86.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 101.64.
