Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.04% to hit a new all time high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which rose 2.54% or 0.65 points to trade at 26.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 2.16% or 0.26 points to end at 12.31 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) was up 1.59% or 0.96 points to 61.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA), which fell 3.44% or 1.48 points to trade at 41.40 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) declined 1.71% or 1.22 points to end at 69.98 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) was down 1.20% or 10.50 points to 862.30.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which rose 4.29% to 30.42, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was up 3.12% to settle at 10.42 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) which gained 2.54% to close at 26.01.
The worst performers were Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was down 17.51% to 2.70 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which lost 5.76% to settle at 1.50 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 5.32% to 2.28 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 282 to 226 and 97 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.16% or 3.45 to $2,164.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $81.23 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.06 to trade at $85.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.11.
