Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 0.71% or 200.0 points to trade at 28300.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 0.48% or 40.0 points to end at 8440.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 0.37% or 40.0 points to 10940.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which fell 2.27% or 600.0 points to trade at 25800.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 2.24% or 640.0 points to end at 27920.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was down 1.37% or 160.0 points to 11500.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 22 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.21% or 4.66 to $140.52 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 4.37% or 83.50 to hit $1827.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.10 to trade at $1281.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.09% to 2869.15, while BRL/COP fell 0.15% to 911.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.69.
