SECULAR BEAR MARKET LIKELY IN NIGERIA EQUITY MARKET. . With Brent crude going bearish, we need to curtail our expectation for this market to what our charts are showing us. Best strategy will be to buy at supports levels and avoid trading breakouts, as most of the breakouts are likely to reverse.. . . Although the market is opening near an expected support of 28807.30 the probability of this support holding the bears at bay is slim.
Good morning. Please why is "Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc" not in the list of  components of NSE?
The NSE has been bearish for the fourth consecutive time we are expecting a rebounce after the relaxing the rules and regulation guilding listing of new company on the NSE.
The bearish reversal, even if just a small bounce has long been expected. The reduction in MPC rate today 26 March 2019, may bring some reprieve to the market. We are folding our hands and waiting.
When the calculated pivot coincides with a supply/demand level, there is high probability that the pivot will hold and we may get a reversal at that level. 30,733.06 is a calculated support in a demand zone, I expected some reversal at this level.
Pls, which app is this?
The NSE All share Index is showing some divergence in the stochastic oscillator for some settings. Time to tread softly in this market. For some of our profitable positions we need to book some profits.
The daily chart is showing a textbook version of the 3 drives to the top reversal pattern at the current 31,426.63 level, equally the current price is sitting on the 0.618 Fibonacci level. If we don't see a reversal at this point, the 31,600 level will be a point to watch.
The Index is back to the trading range of 29,689.73 to 31,005.17 about 2 supply points are lying ahead, with major one at around 32,036.21.
The volume of money in the market is creating this bullish move. There is high probability that this positive movement in the All share index will continue till early part of 2019. There are about 3 equities with so much bid but no sellers, these will continue to fuel the uptick.. . . Also it seems the fact that some equities are undervalued is now apparent.
i think it will go all the way down to key 20000 and hopefully bounce back up, ie after the elections next year if thats to be the case
The just concluded week was not too impressive as the bears dominated the activities at the Nigerian equities market, causing the exchange to record four negative performance out of the five sessions. The bearish was occasioned by the exit of foreign portfolio investors from the market, a development which saw the nation's forex reserves dropping since its July high.
It's obvious from the ASI weekly chart that there is a lot of fixed selling activities at each newly established supports, all critical support levels that matter since 435days ago have been breached and the lack lustre volume which is below the150day MA volume of 361.07M shows how weak the market is and how bad most companies Financial results have not influenced their respective share price as most are more than 80% lower than their respective fair values going with the fundamentals.
Nigerian stock market in recent days have continued to nosedive as listed companies fundamentals are being ignored due to heighten  political risk  and high interest  rates iin developed economics that further put pressure on emerging market which Nigeria is one
how come the shareprices for stocks in Nigeria only starts JAN 30 2012
Time to sell
thanks for that comment, wish i saw it earlier
