Goldman Sachs announced a new year target for gold, saying their analysts think it will hit 1425 within a year... personally I think it could g much higher than that, tbh, but even if  I just went with their view, it is still a good long term investment, here.  There is a Seeking Alpha announcement on GLD which talks about it.

Who trades on rsi?  look at the daily ema cross and macd cross instead... and stochastic for entry points and exit points on that curve... well, do what you want, but that's how i go about it... and use the daily or 4 hour graph if you are trading over several days or weeks... ...these graphs say we are just fine here... but anyhow i don't want to push you to do anything you don't want, but have a look at them at least.

I just loaded up RSI onto the graph and i do see some correlation, but it matches with stochastic, kind of... at least at first glance... but I wouldn't just only trade on that, to the exclusion of things like ema and macd, stoch, etc...

I lived in Bangkok, Thailand. Yesterday, August 4th, the retail gold shops were crammed full of women buying as much gold jewelry as they could get their hands on. I'd say that is a good indication of where gold is headed.. and Asian stocks too, perhaps.

Over 6 months  ago I started  hearing  from trader-educators  who develop some  very advanced indicators  that the  gold  was in a  pattern similar to a prior period and that we were coming into a breakout with possible big move  up.  This was repeated  on numerous platforms with multiple time periods saying the time had come...but there were a few "guys" who are financial and trader-publishers who were saying the opposite...I sat on "the trade" and watched it move thinking for sure I had missed another one..."market's  making  monkeys out of us again..."  timing is the issue when what we expect is delayed ...I'm a real amateur afraid to make a move...is  it soup yet?  It may be  a n issue of understanding all that  moves thes things...ps thanks for a great plaform, Investing .com!

Will test resistance for sure. 1296-1305. If that holds, support at 1280, 1275-1277 major support. If that breaks down she goes... If that holds violent and opposite reaction.
