Far Eastern New Century Corporation manufactures and sells polyester materials, and semi-finished and finished textiles in Taiwan, China, and internationally. It operates through Petrochemical Business, Chemical Fiber Business, Textile Business, Telecommunication Services Business, Real Estate Business, and Investment and Other segments. The company offers solid state polymers, such as resins, PET sheets and shrinkable films, and perform bottles; non-woven fibers; fiber filaments; cotton and synthetic or blended fabrics; towels and bed sheets; woven and knitted garments; polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and sheets; natural, synthetic or blended, and polyester textured yarns; and engages in yarn, silk, and cloth printing and dyeing activities. It also provides real estate development business consulting and management, electronic toll collection, digital payment, consulting, personnel recruitment, call center, energy technology, internet software development, security and monitoring, electronic information, waste recycling and re-processing, human, equipment procurement and product sales agency, market research and general advertisement, transportation, and design and research of computer system services; and intelligent control equipment and security monitoring products. In addition, the company produces and sells petrochemical and nylon materials, chemical fibers, garments, textiles, clothing, bottles, recycled PET, polyester resins and industrial fabrics, and PTA and by-products, as well as PET sheets, chips, filaments, staple fibers, and apparels. Further, it engages in the production and wholesale of medical supplies; foreign trade and hotel business; brewing and sale of beer; operates a property insurance agency, and in television and film production and distribution industry; develops, constructs, leases, and sells real estate properties; and sells communications products and office equipment, and electronic materials and by-products. The company was founded in 1942 and is based in Taipei, Taiwan.
