AU reported earnings. I believe AU is working through all the negative impacts from Covid and mine closures. I think they have turned the corner. Hedge funds are buying

The idea that recent price action accross ALL mining companies seems to poinbt to a lack of institutional support behind gold move upwards reflecting long term value for gold miners. I.E retail investors are busy closing institutional longs or buying their short positions. When gold was trading at $1650 a year ago, on the way up, this stock was priced similarly. Doesn't make sense. Gold trading has always favoured the mining of poeple over that of commodity. Can Basel 3 correct it? Probably not
