Barka Water and Power Company SAOG, formerly known as ACWA Power Barka SAOG, is an Oman-based Company engaged in power generating and water desalination project within the Sultanate of Oman. Its principal activities are to develop, finance, design, construct, operate, maintain, insure and own a power generating station and water desalination plant and associated gas interconnection facilities and other relevant infrastructure. The Company operates two segments: Base Plant segment, which comprises of power production and multi-stage flash distillation (MSF) facilities and Expansion Plants segment, which comprises of two reverse osmosis (RO) based water production facilities.
