US Cocoa Futures Discussions

Hershey, Mondelez see Cocoa prices detached from fundamentals. Although big chocolate companies like Hershey Co., Nestle SA and Mondelez International Inc. said they are either largely or fully covered on cocoa for 2024, company executives said prices today are inflated and don’t reflect the true physical situation. If I own a chocolate factory today, I will close the factory for 2024 and begin to sell my factory’s in-stock cocoa to you guys, cause the profit I make from selling cocoa will be more than the profit I make from producing and selling chocolate.

Flood in brazil doesn't matter for cocoa price, but flood in indonesia does... Flood in brazil was in some southern region, while cocoa plantations are located in northwest. And flood in indonesia was in Sulawesi, where most of the cocoa plantations are located.
On the other hand, floods are very common in Indonesia as they happen to occur almost every day. So I wouldn't put to much into such news.

Ok, I’m out. Want to have a good night sleep tonight. But would suspect it to go up a little more to maybe 8300-8400 from opening and around the first hour. Then rest of the day downhill to 7000? This bounce today seems like a dead cat bounce. But hope I’m wrong would love Cocoa to go up more to 9000 then short again.

There are a couple of guys here, posting all the time, always giving foolish signals. But then, after watching what happens heve the nerve to como and say "I told you ... bla bla bla". So anoying. I am a newbie, never give any signals, but would like to learn, but they make this forum completely chaotic.
If you really want to learn, do it somewhere else, e.g. by reading books, watching videos, digging deep into technical analysis etc. This forum is more like entertainment.
