(Reuters) -Five states are holding their presidential nominating contests on Tuesday, a week after both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump netted enough delegates to clinch their parties' nomination.

Though the two candidates are now looking ahead to their general election rematch in November, Biden is contending with a protest movement from Democratic voters who oppose his backing of Israel's military offensive in Gaza.

The movement, which has had varying degrees of success in states that have already held primaries, is asking voters to mark "uncommitted" on their ballots to register their opposition to Biden's position.

Here is a look at what is happening on the ground in Tuesday's Democratic and Republican primaries.

ARIZONA

Race call: Biden wins Democratic primary, Trump wins Republican primary

Republican delegate count: 43

Democratic delegate count: 72

In Arizona, organizers who support the “uncommitted” movement were urging voters to choose Democrat Marianne Williamson over Biden. Williamson suspended her campaign after Nevada's primary but recently reactivated it. In 2020, Biden beat Trump by just 10,000 voters in Arizona. A March poll from Beacon Research shows Trump leading Biden by 4 percentage points in this year's rematch. Arizona’s large Hispanic population – representing a third of the state – could have helped Trump, as a growing number of Hispanic voters are switching their allegiance to him.

FLORIDA

Republican delegate count: 125

Democratic delegate count: 224

There was no Democratic primary in Florida, where the state party effectively canceled it after voting to list Biden as the only candidate on the ballot. On the Republican side, Trump also faced no challengers; Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ended his presidential campaign in January and subsequently endorsed Trump. The former president beat Biden by 3.3 percentage points in Florida in 2020 and has an even wider lead in polls for the 2024 general election. Trump faces criminal charges in Florida accusing him of illegally holding on to classified documents after leaving the White House. He has denied wrongdoing.

ILLINOIS

Race call: Biden wins Democratic primary, Trump wins Republican primary

Republican delegate count: 64

Democratic delegate count: 147

Organizers of the "uncommitted" movement were asking Democratic voters in Illinois to either leave their ballots blank or write “Gaza” on their ballots. Biden beat Trump by roughly 17 percentage points in Illinois in 2020 and is expected to win the Democratic stronghold again this year.

KANSAS

Race call: Biden wins Democratic primary, Trump wins Republican primary

Republican delegate count: 39

Democratic delegate count: 33

Kansas held its first presidential primary in 30 years; it typically holds caucuses, which are less costly for the state but result in lower participation. In November's general election, Trump is expected to easily win the state, where he beat Biden by more than 14 percentage points in 2020.

OHIO

Ohio did not have an "uncommitted" option, and blank ballots and write-ins will not be counted. Trump beat Biden by 8 percentage points in Ohio in 2020. The Republican candidate led Biden by 17 percentage points in a March poll from SurveyUSA.

If the saudis screw Biden and pays Trumps fines its a huge bet that Trump wins. The democrats would never forget that and the alliance with the saudis would hurt.
Whoever Loses .... Voter Fraud will take Center Stage. If the Polls has the person winning and then loses ...well, ..... You go ahead and tell me what will happen. Gonna be a Long Hot Summer. Bet on it. Heard the Saudis are about to give Trump a HUGE loan for future "Consulting" fees. Since he is a Private Citizen, no crime here. 20 moves ahead on the Political Chessboard. Love to All, Charles.
Well the saudis are not too bright so you might be right they already gave 2 billions to trumps idiot son in law. Why not lose another 500 millions on the Trump family.
Well saudis aleady gave the Trump family 2 billions why not give additional 500 million.
Will be interesting to learn what Trump sells to the saudis for a 500 million dollars loss.
Let's take a minute to remember just how far Trumpo went to deceive the magadupes. December 14, 2020: "Swing States that have found massive VOTER FRAUD, which is all of them, CANNOT LEGALLY CERTIFY these votes as complete & correct without committing a severely punishable crime. Everybody knows that dead people, below age people, illegal immigrants, fake signatures, prisoners, and many others voted illegally. Also, machine “glitches” (another word for FRAUD), ballot harvesting, non-resident voters, fake ballots, “stuffing the ballot box”, votes for pay, roughed up Republican Poll Watchers, and sometimes even more votes than people voting, took place in Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere. In all Swing State cases, there are far more votes than are necessary to win the State, and the Election itself. Therefore, VOTES CANNOT BE CERTIFIED. THIS ELECTION IS UNDER PROTEST!"
The Donald said he had plenty of evidences on the 2016 election frauds, if only he was in a position of power to do something about them (you know, like opening investigations or presented the evidences to the media or the courts), maybe he could have prevented these election frauds to happen again in 2020?  just a thought.....
Or maybe -- and I'm just throwing this out there -- maybe he's full of sha nit.
 never!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13211851/Keith-Olbermann-Trump-assassinated.html. So ...... Words like "Bloodbath" & "Assassination" are creeping their way into the Political Arguments. When people of Power use these words, History tells us the Extreme Elements on both sides will begin to make their own interpretation as a call to Act. Not Rocket Science. It must be toned down!! Radical Elements are on Both sides. Elections should be Fun!! Anyway, Love to All, Charles.
to say Keith Olbermann is people of power is like me saying I am one of the Marvel Avengers
Nancy Pelosi, Biden, News Commentators ..... "Bloodbath" taken out of context ....Get your head out of the Sand .... Obermann WAS in the news .... Somebody thought he was important enough ... But You are probably right ... He's a Nobody. Have a Great Day, Charles.
yeah it's funny MAGA fans constantly have to make excuses for their Mango Messiah opening his mouth and saying stupid inappropriate things
Trump: If you are a true MAGA nut please give me 464 million dollars because I am broke.
Hey Max. Did you know it was the democrats that started KKK. Evidently not. Must of went to Biden school where everything is a lie.
john.. that was 1865, this is 2024. things have changed since then. just ask trumps 'dear friend' david duke (r)...
 John hasn't WOKE yet!
The term is "must have", not "must of" - as in "John Kelly must have gone to Trump University."
trump: 'we are going to the capitol'
to let your voices be peacefully and patrioticly be heard. you forgot the rest of the sentence maxi pad
More misinformation from Trump sumo and Russian sympathiser. The rest of the sentence: "we're going to walk down to the Capitol-- And we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you'll never take back our country with weakness."
finish the rest brad
Donald Trump: 'I just want to find 11780 votes'
why would any person of colour vote for trump? a vile racist and bigot with known kkk-ties...
Youre just a parrot. Pretty bird…pretty bird.
A clumsy appeal to voters or an attempt to get an election official to conspire to overturn a vote of the people. Hmmm, which reflects a crime?
