U.S. administers 449.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines - CDC

(Reuters) - The United States had administered 449,955,588 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country as of Saturday morning and distributed 567,081,775 doses, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Those figures are up from the 448,155,906 vaccine doses the CDC said had been administered as of Nov. 19 out of 562,868,095 doses delivered.

The agency said 229,837,421 people had received at least one dose while 196,128,496 people had been fully vaccinated as of 6:00 a.m. ET on Saturday.

The CDC tally includes two-dose vaccines from Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) and Pfizer/BioNTech, as well as Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ)'s one-shot vaccine.

About 34.5 million people have received a booster dose of either Pfizer (NYSE:PFE), Moderna or Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine. Booster doses from Moderna and Johnson & Johnson were authorized by the U.S. health regulator on Oct. 20.

unfortunately, vaccines don't work. Wish they did. Just got over my bout with Covid. It was ugly. the disease hurts. I wasn't vaccinated. Caught it from my wife who got the J&J vaccine. No her vaccine was useless. A miserable time for her too. Covid is what it is. Eventually, we'll all end up catching it and some if us will die.
J&J comes from a company that makes baby powder and hand cream. Good luck with it.

Main point of vaccine is prep ur immune system to deal with the virus. If ur immune knows how, the chance of hospitalize or dealth is slim.
Main point is, the vaccines give people false sense of security they are invincible being vaccinated and don't practice good hygiene, which is important for virus prevention.

Those stupid vaccines don't work.  With more and more people around the world being vaccinated, how can the number of new cases and deaths be getting higher again, especially in USA?!  Totally absurd.

Well, my close relative who died 1 month after he's got 2 full doses of vaccines and he's only in his 40s.  We have more new cases and deaths right now in any country comparing to any period before Oct 2020 when the first wave hit, and NOBODY was vaccinated.  How could that be?  Do the math please!  If you need a jab every now and then like the flu shots, they should not be called vaccine at all.  I don't think I've heard of a vaccine in my life that takes more than two to get people lifetime immune, let alone three, or even more.
