Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 3.80%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 13.98% or 3.68 points to trade at 30.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) added 8.32% or 0.77 points to end at 10.03 and Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) was up 5.81% or 0.090 points to 1.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB), which fell 7.99% or 0.78 points to trade at 8.98 at the close. Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) declined 5.60% or 0.47 points to end at 7.92 and Sise Cam (IS:SISE) was down 5.60% or 0.190 points to 3.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 346 to 33 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) rose to 52-week highs; up 13.98% or 3.68 to 30.00.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.65 to $1343.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.04% or 1.35 to hit $45.83 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.71% or 1.26 to trade at $47.74 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.43% to 2.9805, while EUR/TRY rose 0.74% to 3.3585.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.10.
