Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Technology and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS), which rose 6.59% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.940 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 6.45% or 0.080 points to end at 1.320 and Kartonsan (IS:KARTN) was up 4.30% or 13.40 points to 325.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Otokar (IS:OTKAR), which fell 4.67% or 6.20 points to trade at 126.50 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 4.07% or 1.08 points to end at 25.46 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was down 3.85% or 0.090 points to 2.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 172 to 166 and 68 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.56% or 6.75 to $1202.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.37% or 1.19 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.20% or 1.17 to trade at $51.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.55% to 3.7661, while EUR/TRY rose 0.96% to 3.9871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 101.99.
