Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Sports and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.65% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 4.24% or 0.84 points to end at 20.66 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was up 2.67% or 0.050 points to 1.920 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which fell 3.68% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.830 at the close. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) declined 3.40% or 0.090 points to end at 2.560 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was down 3.27% or 0.380 points to 11.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 215 to 126 and 63 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.65% or 0.020 to 0.450.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.59% or 19.95 to $1273.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $52.88 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.33 to trade at $55.65 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.62% to 3.7060, while EUR/TRY fell 0.48% to 3.9338.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 100.62.
