Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Metals and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) added 2.94% or 0.050 points to end at 1.750 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was up 2.80% or 0.60 points to 22.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB), which fell 2.68% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.450 at the close. Aygaz (IS:AYGAZ) declined 2.09% or 0.20 points to end at 9.36 and Celebi (IS:CLEBI) was down 2.04% or 0.65 points to 31.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 142 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.68% or 0.040 to 1.450.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.75% or 8.30 to $1110.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.99% or 1.32 to hit $45.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.97% or 0.94 to trade at $48.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.08% to 3.0356, while EUR/TRY rose 0.49% to 3.4218.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.60.
