Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Telecoms and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 3.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 6.03% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.230 at the close. Meanwhile, ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) added 5.20% or 0.450 points to end at 9.100 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 2.97% or 0.080 points to 2.770 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 13.42% or 0.400 points to trade at 2.580 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 7.53% or 0.210 points to end at 2.580 and CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was down 7.45% or 0.33 points to 4.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 308 to 75 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) rose to all time highs; rising 5.20% or 0.450 to 9.100.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 1.40 to $1223.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 4.25% or 2.43 to hit $54.77 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.06% or 2.71 to trade at $64.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.60% to 5.3981, while EUR/TRY rose 1.23% to 6.1637.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 96.41.
