Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Information Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS), which rose 7.31% or 1.90 points to trade at 27.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 6.48% or 1.640 points to end at 26.940 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.12% or 0.240 points to 6.060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which fell 9.64% or 13.50 points to trade at 126.50 at the close. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 5.80% or 7.30 points to end at 118.60 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) was down 5.28% or 0.44 points to 7.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 269 to 91 and 44 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.14 to $1283.84 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $56.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.21 to trade at $63.70 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 3.8682, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 4.5031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 94.55.
