Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 4.53% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 3.65% or 0.38 points to end at 10.78 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.64% or 1.14 points to 32.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which fell 2.52% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.250 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 1.87% or 0.31 points to end at 16.24 and Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) was down 1.63% or 0.29 points to 17.51.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 198 to 138 and 68 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) rose to all time highs; rising 4.53% or 0.120 to 2.770.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1257.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.53% or 0.30 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.14 to trade at $63.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.52% to 3.8659, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 4.5490.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 93.87.
