Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Electricity, Tourism and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN), which rose 8.73% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR) added 4.89% or 0.090 points to end at 1.930 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 4.62% or 1.18 points to 26.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which fell 8.90% or 0.260 points to trade at 2.660 at the close. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 2.89% or 3.10 points to end at 104.10 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was down 2.46% or 0.030 points to 1.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 199 to 127 and 81 ended unchanged.
Shares in Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR) rose to all time highs; up 4.89% or 0.090 to 1.930.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.56% or 7.04 to $1249.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.44% or 0.20 to hit $44.77 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.17 to trade at $47.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.41% to 3.5168, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 3.9257.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 97.14.
