Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 4.84% or 0.140 points to trade at 3.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) added 4.27% or 0.190 points to end at 4.640 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was up 2.95% or 0.35 points to 12.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL), which fell 13.57% or 1.350 points to trade at 8.600 at the close. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 3.76% or 0.050 points to end at 1.280 and Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) was down 2.09% or 0.040 points to 1.870.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 175 to 154 and 79 ended unchanged.
Shares in Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.84% or 0.140 to 3.030.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1248.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $47.78 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $50.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.68% to 3.6101, while EUR/TRY fell 0.44% to 3.9034.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.44.
