Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Transport and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 15.84% or 0.320 points to trade at 2.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) added 4.84% or 0.060 points to end at 1.300 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 4.18% or 0.780 points to 19.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which fell 3.76% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.840 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 2.50% or 0.010 points to end at 0.390 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was down 2.42% or 0.030 points to 1.210.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 143 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.18% or 0.780 to 19.450.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.11% or 14.25 to $1296.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.59 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.05 to trade at $49.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.5236, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 3.9713.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 96.56.
