Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Holdings & Investments and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 13.73% or 2.52 points to trade at 20.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR) added 6.47% or 0.180 points to end at 2.960 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 6.22% or 0.130 points to 2.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcelik (IS:ARCLK), which fell 6.64% or 1.56 points to trade at 21.94 at the close. Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) declined 4.97% or 0.400 points to end at 7.650 and Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL) was down 3.21% or 0.190 points to 5.730.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 192 to 139 and 72 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) rose to 52-week highs; up 13.73% or 2.52 to 20.88.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.26% or 3.25 to $1235.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.28% or 0.68 to hit $52.33 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.56 to trade at $55.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.34% to 3.7336, while EUR/TRY rose 0.78% to 3.9907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 100.40.
