Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 2.41%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.41%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 13.75% or 0.440 points to trade at 3.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 12.87% or 0.690 points to end at 6.050 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 9.22% or 0.630 points to 7.460 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which fell 2.85% or 0.390 points to trade at 13.280 at the close. Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) declined 0.71% or 0.08 points to end at 11.20 and Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) was down 0.69% or 0.010 points to 1.440.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 303 to 71 and 34 ended unchanged.

Shares in Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) rose to all time highs; gaining 13.75% or 0.440 to 3.640. Shares in Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 12.87% or 0.690 to 6.050. Shares in Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) rose to all time highs; rising 9.22% or 0.630 to 7.460.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.32% or 4.14 to $1289.86 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.07% or 0.52 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.27% or 0.66 to trade at $51.44 a barrel.

USD/TRY was down 0.40% to 3.5209, while EUR/TRY fell 0.78% to 4.1491.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.30.
