Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 0.42% or 0.0210 points to trade at 5.0090 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.27% or 0.0005 points to end at 0.1875 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was up 0.24% or 0.001 points to 0.416 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 4.53% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.2950 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 3.53% or 0.525 points to end at 14.360 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 2.91% or 0.0250 points to 0.8340.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.43% or 1.29 to $51.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.70% or 1.37 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.70 to trade at $1287.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.0685, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8354.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 99.91.
