Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which rose 4.96% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LISBON:SEM) added 2.00% or 0.2550 points to end at 12.9950 and Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) was up 1.56% or 0.0040 points to 0.2600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF), which fell 3.64% or 0.0002 points to trade at 0.0055 at the close. Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS) declined 1.75% or 0.0590 points to end at 3.3200 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP) was down 1.72% or 0.0011 points to 0.0630.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 37 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 4.61% or 2.31 to $52.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 5.48% or 2.48 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1132.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1214, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.7307.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 96.00.
