Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 3.35% or 0.236 points to trade at 7.285 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco BPI (LS:BBPI) added 0.43% or 0.0050 points to end at 1.1650 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.42% or 0.0280 points to 6.6760 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 5.41% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1400 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.86% or 0.0009 points to end at 0.0306 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 2.01% or 0.0190 points to 0.9250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 16 and 10 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.93% or 0.47 to $50.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.34% or 0.66 to hit $49.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1141, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.7675.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 95.73.
