Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.13% or 0.240 points to trade at 11.500 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 0.16% or 0.0040 points to end at 2.4400 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 0.12% or 0.0040 points to 3.3500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 4.46% or 0.1250 points to trade at 2.6750 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 2.31% or 0.4200 points to end at 17.8000 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was down 1.91% or 0.3400 points to 17.4700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.27% or 0.21 to $77.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.43% or 0.30 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1205.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1587, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8945.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 95.14.
