Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 3.59% or 0.1110 points to trade at 3.2000 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 3.35% or 0.0007 points to end at 0.0216 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 3.01% or 0.0160 points to 0.5470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.63% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.1480 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.61% or 0.045 points to end at 7.280 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.60% or 0.0850 points to 14.2000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 32 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 4.50% or 2.08 to $48.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 4.36% or 1.95 to hit $46.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.74% or 23.65 to trade at $1332.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1084, while EUR/GBP fell 1.96% to 0.8347.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 96.37.
