Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.61% or 0.1300 points to trade at 5.1100 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.47% or 0.0790 points to end at 3.2720 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 2.34% or 0.3750 points to 16.4000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.83% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.3780 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.12% or 0.1850 points to end at 16.3700 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 1.01% or 0.0510 points to 5.0230.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 25 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.61% or 0.1300 to 5.1100.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.97% or 1.10 to $56.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.58% or 0.79 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.58 to trade at $1275.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1709, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.73.
