Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 5.38% or 0.0660 points to trade at 1.2930 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 0.83% or 0.0027 points to end at 0.3292 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.75% or 0.0300 points to 4.0250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 3.54% or 0.0085 points to trade at 0.2315 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 1.17% or 0.0650 points to end at 5.4700 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 1.06% or 0.2000 points to 18.6400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.51% or 0.36 to $70.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.64% or 0.42 to hit $66.03 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.50 to trade at $1360.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.2481, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8756.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 88.59.
