Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.19% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 1.46% or 0.0730 points to trade at 5.0780 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 1.13% or 0.0300 points to end at 2.6760 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was up 0.81% or 0.0430 points to 5.3400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 2.20% or 0.0110 points to trade at 0.4890 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.74% or 0.215 points to end at 12.170 and J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) was down 0.89% or 0.1400 points to 15.6500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.26% or 0.15 to $58.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $51.96 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 2.29 to trade at $1283.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1789, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.31.
