Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.34%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 7.34% or 0.390 points to trade at 5.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Lt Group (PS:LTG) added 7.00% or 0.720 points to end at 11.000 and Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL) was up 3.69% or 82.00 points to 2304.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which fell 3.38% or 1.650 points to trade at 47.100 at the close. Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) declined 2.33% or 0.500 points to end at 21.000 and Metropolitan B (PS:MBT) was down 1.41% or 1.20 points to 83.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 117 to 76 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1137.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.42% or 0.20 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $49.27 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.06% to 7.3095, while USD/PHP fell 0.06% to 46.460.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.07.
