Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Property and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI), which rose 3.44% or 1.250 points to trade at 37.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 2.76% or 3.9000 points to end at 145.0000 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 1.64% or 13.000 points to 805.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC), which fell 2.25% or 2.400 points to trade at 104.200 at the close. Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) declined 2.20% or 0.200 points to end at 8.900 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 2.04% or 4.200 points to 201.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 99 to 89 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.76% or 3.9000 to 145.0000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.20% or 2.45 to $1236.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $54.31 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.07 to trade at $56.59 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.05% to 7.3059, while USD/PHP fell 0.03% to 50.250.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.57.
