Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Telecoms and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 1.14% or 2.3 points to trade at 204.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 0.87% or 0.06 points to end at 6.38 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 0.86% or 0.41 points to 47.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 3.51% or 6.80 points to trade at 186.80 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 3.49% or 1.44 points to end at 39.83 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 3.41% or 4.8 points to 136.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 78 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.62% or 0.85 to $51.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.69% or 0.93 to hit $53.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.09% or 14.10 to trade at $1280.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.61% to 9.1879, while USD/NOK rose 0.82% to 8.5811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 99.75.
