Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 2.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which rose 6.18% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) added 5.13% or 2.52 points to end at 51.65 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was up 4.24% or 30.5 points to 750.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS), which rose 0.17% or 0.06 points to trade at 35.50 at the close. Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) added 0.37% or 0.20 points to end at 53.70 and Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) was up 0.87% or 0.85 points to 98.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 142 to 37 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.03% or 0.94 to $47.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.32% or 0.67 to hit $51.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.90% or 10.20 to trade at $1123.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.58% to 9.2002, while USD/NOK rose 0.49% to 8.2837.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 96.51.
