Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.91% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Statoil ASA (OL:STL), which rose 3.59% or 5.0 points to trade at 144.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 3.57% or 4.60 points to end at 133.30 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.59% or 2.6 points to 102.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 2.02% or 3.8 points to trade at 184.0 at the close. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) declined 1.55% or 2.80 points to end at 177.50 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 1.00% or 0.22 points to 21.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 79 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.59% or 2.6 to 102.9.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.77% or 1.75 to $48.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.78% or 1.77 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.45 to trade at $1212.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.0752, while USD/NOK fell 0.62% to 8.5587.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 101.14.
