Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.09% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 2.30% or 0.79 points to trade at 35.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 2.06% or 3.7 points to end at 183.0 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was up 1.86% or 2.7 points to 147.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which fell 1.82% or 0.95 points to trade at 51.25 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.73% or 1.15 points to end at 65.35 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 1.26% or 2.6 points to 203.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 74 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.35% or 0.66 to $49.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.90% or 0.98 to hit $52.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.30 to trade at $1269.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 9.3072, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 7.9216.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 93.22.
