Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.65% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 7.91% or 2.93 points to trade at 39.99 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 2.68% or 3.5 points to end at 134.3 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 1.99% or 3.10 points to 158.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 5.48% or 14.00 points to trade at 241.50 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 4.24% or 14.50 points to end at 327.10 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 3.61% or 17.0 points to 454.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 85 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.21% or 0.11 to $53.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.51% or 17.55 to trade at $1182.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.0046, while USD/NOK fell 1.09% to 8.5002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.97% at 101.50.
