Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Real Estate and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.76% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were OCI (AMS:OCI), which rose 4.35% or 1.085 points to trade at 26.015 at the close. Meanwhile, Gemalto (AMS:GTO) added 0.45% or 0.36 points to end at 80.05 and NN Group (AMS:NN) was up 0.40% or 0.10 points to 25.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP), which fell 2.22% or 5.05 points to trade at 222.10 at the close. Vopak (AMS:VOPA) declined 1.97% or 0.90 points to end at 44.65 and Aalberts Industries (AMS:AALB) was down 1.84% or 0.49 points to 26.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 160 to 85 and 4 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.18% to 24.13 a new 3-months high.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.04% or 0.63 to $59.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.90% or 0.57 to hit $63.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.42% or 5.00 to trade at $1175.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.1258, while EUR/GBP fell 0.39% to 0.7159.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 95.15.
