Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.92% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA), which rose 4.82% or 0.396 points to trade at 8.616 at the close. Meanwhile, SBM Offshore (AS:SBMO) added 2.20% or 0.32 points to end at 14.61 and Randstad (AS:RAND) was up 1.64% or 0.89 points to 55.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KPN Kon (AS:KPN), which fell 0.50% or 0.013 points to trade at 2.604 at the close. Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) declined 0.27% or 0.60 points to end at 218.40 and Heineken (AS:HEIN) was down 0.01% or 0.01 points to 73.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 90 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.25% to 13.20.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.82% or 0.98 to $52.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.06% or 1.17 to hit $55.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 10.65 to trade at $1225.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0600, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8479.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.00.
