Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB), which rose 2.30% or 0.81 points to trade at 36.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) added 1.80% or 0.69 points to end at 39.28 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) was up 1.75% or 0.325 points to 18.880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD), which fell 9.53% or 1.76 points to trade at 16.70 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.00% or 0.180 points to end at 17.865 and SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) was down 0.48% or 0.07 points to 13.61.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 82 to 38 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.53% or 1.76 to 16.70. Shares in Relx NV (AS:RELN) rose to all time highs; up 1.75% or 0.325 to 18.880.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 6.53% to 11.33.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.70% or 0.31 to $44.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.90% or 0.42 to hit $47.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.71 to trade at $1256.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.39% to 1.1189, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 97.19.
