Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which rose 5.96% or 1.55 points to trade at 27.55 at the close. Meanwhile, IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 5.09% or 4.48 points to end at 92.50 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) was up 3.98% or 90 points to 2350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unimer (CS:UMR), which fell 5.44% or 9.40 points to trade at 163.55 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 3.80% or 1.16 points to end at 29.34 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was down 2.07% or 30 points to 1420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.98% or 90 to 2350.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.68% or 0.31 to $46.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.52% or 0.25 to hit $48.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.09 to trade at $1269.31 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.9310, while USD/MAD fell 0.05% to 9.7601.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 97.26.
