Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Software & Computer Services and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which rose 8.80% or 11.00 points to trade at 136.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 7.88% or 1.90 points to end at 26.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 3.81% or 4.95 points to 134.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which fell 9.76% or 3.70 points to trade at 34.20 at the close. Disway SA (CS:DWY) declined 2.78% or 10.00 points to end at 350.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 1.67% or 0.34 points to 20.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.67% or 1.95 to $71.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.82% or 2.34 to hit $80.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.61% or 31.20 to trade at $1224.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 10.9190, while USD/MAD fell 0.25% to 9.4455.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 94.84.
