Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Food Producers & Processors and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1), which rose 4.89% or 130 points to trade at 2790 at the close. Meanwhile, Label Vie (CS:LBV) added 3.57% or 50 points to end at 1450 and Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) was up 2.74% or 40.0 points to 1500.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which fell 4.22% or 3.88 points to trade at 88.02 at the close. Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM) declined 4.02% or 35.00 points to end at 835.00 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was down 3.43% or 4.90 points to 138.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 15 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.66% or 0.30 to $45.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.77% or 0.37 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 9.29 to trade at $1270.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.9310, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.7607.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.21.
