Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical Industry and Holding Companies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which rose 5.75% or 55 points to trade at 1014 at the close. Meanwhile, Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) added 5.07% or 108 points to end at 2240 and Sothema (CS:SOT) was up 3.83% or 48 points to 1300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which fell 5.90% or 38 points to trade at 614 at the close. Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) declined 2.99% or 10.15 points to end at 329.85 and CTM (CS:CTM) was down 2.88% or 16.00 points to 540.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 14 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.79% or 1.34 to $46.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.62% or 0.81 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.17% or 15.75 to trade at $1330.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.16% to 10.9270, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.6972.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 94.70.
