Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taslif (CS:TSF1), which rose 4.01% or 1.70 points to trade at 44.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL) added 3.48% or 60 points to end at 1780 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 3.20% or 1 points to 44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 5.91% or 2.67 points to trade at 42.45 at the close. Label Vie (CS:LBV) declined 5.83% or 70 points to end at 1130 and Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) was down 5.79% or 6.95 points to 113.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.82% or 0.35 to $42.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.23% or 0.56 to hit $45.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.30 to trade at $1071.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 10.6610, while USD/MAD rose 0.27% to 10.0527.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 99.83.
